A few weeks ago, an American published an article listing more than a hundred figures on LinkedIn . Not all of them are interesting or relevant for the French market. I made a selection that I offer to you: Latest official figure: 450 million registered, 56% men. 70% are outside the USA; 104 million in Europe; 109 million in Asia; 18 million in the Middle East. New members: 2 per second or 63 million (the population of France) more per year. LinkedIn objective: 3 billion subscribers. Monthly traffic: 106 million. On average, members spend 17 minutes there per month. 13% of those registered go there every day. LinkedIn presence: 200 countries. 20 languages are available. 37% of US Internet users are on LinkedIn. 41% of millionaires are on LinkedIn. 38% of turnover is generated outside the USA.
A LinkedIn member is worth $84 ($128 on Facebook), according to Forbes.com. 13% of members do not Email Data have a Facebook account. 59% of members do not go to Twitter and 83% do not go to Pinterest. A photo on a profile: up to 14 times more likely that you will be found. A photo on a profile: 36 times more likely to receive a message. Impact of skills presence on profile: up to 13 times more profile views. From 5 skills, we go from *13 to *17! Nearly 1,500 people chose the “hugs” skill. LinkedIn has indexed 45,000 skills. 380 million people have put skills on their profiles. There are over 1 billion endorsements (skill endorsements). Number of profiles viewed per quarter: 45 billion. A CEO has on average 930 contacts.
More than 10 million members (out of more than 450 million profiles created) have completed the “Volunteering experience” or “cause you care about” section. We find these profiles both in major financial accounts (PwC, KPMG) and in start-ups very popular with younger generations (Uber, AirBnB). It is also these “millennials” who are the most numerous (71% of these 10 million), followed by the mid-career generation (21%). They are mainly Northern Europeans (Denmark, Canada, Netherlands, Ireland, Australia). It is mainly towards Unicef then towards Greenpeace, Amnesty International, the American Red Cross or the American Cancer Society which stand out. The average number of positions professionals like on profiles is 3. 59% of members have never worked in a company with more than 200 people.
